As this is only a small unit, it will struggle to get through knotted and gnarly logs, but no more than you would expect. If logs aren’t cut straight they might end up coming off the rail, which if you’re not paying attention can end up being dangerous. You want a good pair of steel caps just in case.

Using The Log Splitter
As the unit will arrive fully assembled, you can have it up and running within five minutes of it being received off the freight truck. Remove the splitter from the box and screw the control handle lever into the handle bracket. Have a quick check over to make sure all the nuts, bolts and hydraulic fittings are tightened.
